Continuity Announcers are people who introduce programs starting, promote programs coming on soon and promote features about programs such as online content.

ITV1 have several continuity announcers. Announcers are live from 9:25am up till midnight and after midnight, pre-recorded announcements are used. On ITV1, one announcer will work from 9:25am up to 4:00pm, and another announcer starts at 5:00pm until midnight.

Paul Jamieson

Paul Jamieson has worked as a continuity announcer on ITV1 for seven years and recently left the channel. His last announcement was on Tuesday 24th November at 4:00pm introducing Midsomer Murders. You can find out more about Paul at his website. Just click the link above next to his name.

  Mark Manchester

Mark Manchester has been a continuity announcer on ITV1 in 2004 after being an announcer on ITV2 from 2001. Before starting at ITV, Mark did various radio work which started with him entering Steve Wright's Young DJ competition on BBC Radio 1. In 1999 Mark was presenting the Cadbury's Fuse Chart Show, a student radio show that was broadcast around the country from London.
