The first signs of Christmas presentation on ITV1 in 2009 started on Saturday 12 December with a 'Christmas on ITV1' promo. The following Saturday saw the introduction of the full Christmas package.

ITV1 has 11 different break bumpers used over the Christmas period. These consist of all the elements of the main ident - a Christmas tree, a present, a Christmas pudding, a snowman, a reindeer, a bauble, a cracker, a star, a snowflake, a robin and a bell.

Trailers on ITV1 during the Christmas period adopt a slightly different look. The logo appears in a shower of sparkles and glows throughout the promo. The end board produces the logo in the same manner. The regular floating yellow lights have been replaced with gold Christmas tree and many festive objects floating round.
